Nikon TE2000  Inverted Microscope


This Nikon TE2000 inverted microscope is equipped with brightfield, phase contrast and fluorescence capabilities.  It has a high sensitivity Nikon Ds-Fi1 color camera  (2560x1920 pixels) operated using Elements software.  

Fluorescence illumination is provided by a SOLA light engine or a Xenon Light source and the scope has filter sets for FURA, UV, CFP, GFP, dsRed, CY5 and NIR. There are 4x, 10x, 20x and 40x extra long working distance phase contrast objectives for imaging through plastic dishes.  There is also a 60x, 0.95na objective for high resolution imaging. The scope is equipped with a motorized x/y/z stage and for making panaramic images of slides and plates in both brightfield and fluorescence modes.

Please contact UIC staff in advance of using this system for FURA or NIR imaging as there are hardware adjustments that need to be made.
